Are you passionate about creating economic opportunities for Indigenous communities? The ICIN is looking for passionate, motivated and highly-organised people to join its small team, which supports around 26 Indigenous organisations with carbon offset projects across Australia.

1. Expressions of Interest open for CEO, ICIN role
The ICIN Board is keen to receive EoIs from leaders within the network. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a critical and exciting opportunity to support the growth of ICIN at a time when our services and role have never been in more demand. 
This is a 12-month position, starting in October 2023. EoI to be emailed to Anna Boustead at [email protected], who will refer interested candidates to the Board.

2. Communications Manager
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply, 0.8 or Full-time, Darwin preferred.

The Indigenous Carbon Industry Network seeks an experienced and motivated person with excellent writing skills, active listening abilities, experience with strategic communications planning and social media management. 

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage ICIN’s communication platforms, including website, monthly newsletter, bulletin, and social media platforms.
  • Assist the ICIN CEO to evaluate and implement ICIN’s Communication Strategy
  • Create, edit, publish, and evaluate a range of communication tools targeted at Indigenous organisations as needed.
  • Manage communication plans and budgets in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
  • Provide communications support and training to ICIN Members, Directors and Staff.
  • Assist with ICIN events as needed, including online workshops, the North Australia Savanna Fire Forum and the National Indigenous Carbon Forum including occasionally in remote areas and interstate.
  • Travel interstate or to remote Indigenous communities to attend events and workshops from time to time.
  • Coordinate the ICIN Communications working group.
  • Respond to media enquiries and develop media statements, in consultation with the CEO.

2. Marketing Advisor 
Short-term contract, Australia-wide. Note Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
