The Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) is the peak industry body representing Indigenous-owned and operated carbon projects across Australia.

The ICIN has several exciting positions available to support the growing needs of the network and is seeking Expressions of Interest from highly-organised people committed to the values and purpose of the network with skills and experience in the areas listed below.

Employment terms and conditions are set out in the Position Description and ICIN Ltd Policies and Procedures Manual and ICIN Ltd Constitution.

Expressions of Interest Invited

Are you passionate about supporting Indigenous people caring for country and creating economic opportunities for Indigenous communities?

The Indigenous Carbon Industry Network Ltd is looking for passionate, motivated and highly organised people with skills in the following areas to join its small staff team supporting around 20 Indigenous organisations with carbon projects across Australia.

The following positions are available:

1. Events Coordinator (3 days a week, Queensland based, 12 month contract)
This is an Indigenous-identified position.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise the 2023 North Australia Savanna Fire Forum (Feb 21-23, Darwin) and 2023 National Indigenous Carbon Forum (Qld, TBA)
  • Oversee event budgets and sponsorship

2. Policy Coordinator (0.8 or Full-time, Darwin preferred)
This is an Indigenous-identified position.

  • Provide secretariat support to the ICIN Policy Working Group
  • Draft policy submissions and position papers as required
  • Research key issues and provide advice to members as required

3. Marketing Advisor (short-term contract, Australia-wide)

  • Provide specialist marketing advice to the Indigenous Carbon Industry Network
  • Note Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

4. Content Producers

We also want to hear from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with skills in the following areas who are interested in working with us, either on an temporary or ongoing basis:

  • Graphic Design
  • Communications
  • Video-making
  • Story-telling through art
  • Marketing
  • Social Media Management
  • Facilitation
