The 2022 North Australia Savanna Fire Forum will bring together Indigenous landholders, fire managers, Indigenous ranger groups, fire ecologists, spatial scientists, government representatives, conservation groups and carbon industry representatives online on February 15 to share experiences and knowledge to support best practice savanna fire management practices across the north.
This year, in addition to the North Australia Savanna Fire Forum, ICIN will be hosting the 1st National Indigenous Carbon Industry Forum, which will take place online on February 16. It will provide a focus for discussions and knowledge sharing about the Indigenous carbon industry, carbon market updates, putting a spotlight on Indigenous rights and interests in carbon as well as explore emerging opportunities for Indigenous land and sea managers through new carbon accounting methods.
For details on how to register for the event, and for further information about both the 2022 North Australia Savanna Fire Forum and National Indigenous Carbon Industry Forum, please visit the North Australia Savanna Fire Forum website.
