Our Board

ICIN Ltd is an independent, Indigenous-led not-for-profit owned by its Full Members. All Full Members are Indigenous organisations that own carbon projects or directly produce carbon credits. The network is currently supported by CEO Anna Boustead. The Constitution sets the rules for ICIN Ltd, a registered not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, owned by its full members and overseen by a seven-person, 100% Aboriginal Board of Directors. Download the ICIN Ltd Constitution

Our Board

ICIN is Indigenous-owned and Indigenous-led. ICIN is governed by its 100% Aboriginal Board of Directors.

Cissy Gore-Birch
Co-Chair, Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

Cissy Gore-Birch is a Jaru/Kija woman with connections to Balanggarra, Bunuba and Nyikina. Cissy is the inaugural Director and Co-Chair of ICIN Ltd, previous Chair of Balanggarra Aboriginal Corporation (for nearly 10 years), on the Advisory Committee of the International Savanna Fire Management Initiative (ISFMI) and inaugural Co-Chair of the Wildfire-Resilient Landscapes Network.

Dr Dean Yibarbuk
Co-Chair, Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

Dr Dean Munuggullumurr Yibarbuk is a traditional owner of Djinkarr, near Maningrida and of Yanjkobarnem in the Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area. Dean’s language is Gurrgoni. Dean is an inaugural Director and Co-Chair of ICIN Ltd. He is also Chair of Warddeken Land Management Limited and Co-Chair of Karrkad Kanjdji Trust.

Suzanne Thompson
Director Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

Suzanne Thompson, Director ICIN, Founder/Managing Director Yambangku Aboriginal Cultural Heritage & Tourism Development Aboriginal Corporation (YACHATDAC). Suzanne is proud of her ancestral blood lines as an Iningai Aboriginal woman and is brimming with knowledge of her culture, Australian history, and innovative ways to share her passions with others in a respectful and contemporary way.

Neville Gulay Gulay
Director Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

Neville Gulay Gulay, Director ICIN and Yolgnu Traditional Owner, of the Arafura Swamp Rangers Aboriginal Corporation (ASRAC). Neville's Country is Arnhem Land, which includes places such as Gurruwiling, also known as the Arafura Swamp, the most expansive freshwater ecosystem in Arnhem Land and the largest paperbark swamp found in Australia.

Cathy Goonack
Director Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

Cathy Goonack, Director ICIN and Chair Wunambal Gaambera Aboriginal Corporation. A Traditional Owner of Wunambal Gaambera Country which consists of 2.5 million hectares of land and sea, and has ancient rock art sites to “right-way” burning by choppers. The Wunambal Gaambera people are both traditional and modern, this Country is a great success story, with their Healthy Country work, including the Uunguu Ranger program.

Teddy Bernard
Director Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

Cr. Teddy Bernard, Director ICIN and Councillor Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council Rangers. A Kunjen/Kokoberra/Kokomenjen man from Kowanyama and proud father of two. “This is a really important industry for Indigenous people. It’s a way for us to take care of our Country and generate jobs for our communities. I’m excited about the chance to help shape the Indigenous Carbon Industry.”

Sarah Parriman
Director Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

Sarah Parriman is a proud Aboriginal woman of Yawuru and Jabirr Jabirr descent. Sarah is a Director at ICIN and the Deputy CEO of the Kimberley Land Council, a peak Aboriginal representative body in the region, playing an integral role supporting the strong corporate governance and operations of the organisation. Sarah is a passionate advocate for Aboriginal advancement, self-determination and decision making.
