We want to hear from you! Be a part of an engaging three days, bringing together Australia's leading voices in savanna fire management and Indigenous-led carbon initiatives.


Now inviting expressions of interest for presentations, sessions, and speakers who will shape the future of Indigenous-led land management and carbon initiatives.

In 2026, in an exciting first, ICIN will co-locate the Savanna Fire Forum with the National Indigenous Carbon Forum, reflecting the growth and interest in the carbon industry from Indigenous groups across Australia. 

The theme across both events is: Strong Roots, Strong Futures. Program streams will be "People on Country", "Markets" and "Policy/Research".

We're looking for:

  • Trainers to share expertise to improve overall practice and outcomes.
  • Fire Managers to share successes and lessons learned.
  • Policy experts to share updates and developments relevant to this sector.
  • Industry-led panel discussions on issues affecting the sector.

National Indigenous Carbon Forum

February 26, 2026

We're looking for: 

  • Breakdowns of complex ACCU scheme concepts
  • Fit-for-purpose Indigenous-led carbon methods
  • Nature repair market conversations
  • New ideas for off-site trips in the Darwin region, we have previously run gamba grass and aerial ignition by drone sessions.
