2026 will be the eighth year of the North Australia Savanna (SFF) Fire Forum. In an exciting first, ICIN will co-locate the SFF with the 2nd National Indigenous Carbon Forum (NICF), reflecting the industry’s growth and level of interest in the carbon industry from Indigenous groups across Australia.

The Savanna Fire Forum is a well-established event that supports Indigenous leadership in savanna fire management, fosters knowledge sharing and promotes best practice. The National Indigenous Carbon Forum addresses broader carbon methods beyond savanna fire management relevant to Indigenous proponents, highlights Indigenous rights and interests in carbon across Australia, and supports opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to actively manage their Country.
