2026 will be the eighth year of the North Australia Savanna (SFF) Fire Forum. In an exciting first, ICIN will co-locate the SFF with the 2nd National Indigenous Carbon Forum (NICF), reflecting the industry’s growth and level of interest in the carbon industry from Indigenous groups across Australia.
We offer tiered pricing for Indigenous rangers and ICIN members, not-for-profit and university organisations, students, and government or corporate attendees, with discounted rates available for the Savanna Fire Forum, the National Indigenous Carbon Forum, or a combined ticket to both.
The Forum is held in partnership with Charles Darwin University (CDU), a partnership that reflects the history of this event, which was launched by the CDU Centre for Bushfire Research in 2019 along with North Australia & Rangelands Fire Information (NAFI), and has been hosted annually by ICIN with support from CDU since 2020.
The Savanna Fire Forum is a well-established event that supports Indigenous leadership in savanna fire management, fosters knowledge sharing and promotes best practice. The National Indigenous Carbon Forum addresses broader carbon methods beyond savanna fire management relevant to Indigenous proponents, highlights Indigenous rights and interests in carbon across Australia, and supports opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to actively manage their Country.
Sponsor the Savanna Fire Forum and National Indigenous Carbon Forum to support Indigenous leadership in land management and carbon stewardship across Australia's vast savanna landscapes. Your sponsorship directly contributes to building strong foundations for sustainable fire management and carbon initiatives that benefit both Indigenous communities and Australia's environmental future.
The Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) in a not-for-profit member-based organisation that facilitates an active and innovative Indigenous-led carbon industry. Each year, as the cost of putting on the Savanna Fire Forum increases, we ask for sponsorship to ensure we can keep ticket costs low for Indigenous organisations and land managers. The continuation of this event is dependent upon the generosity of sponsors and in-kind support from ICIN members.
