Yued Aboriginal Corporation is the Regional Corporation for the Yued Agreement Area under the South West Native Title Settlement — the largest native title settlement in Australian history. The Corporation operates as a small, Traditional Owner-led not-for-profit organisation, overseen by a Board and a Cultural Advice Committee made up of male and female Elders.
The Yued region is one of six Noongar Regional Corporations established under the Settlement through six Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) negotiated between the Noongar Nation and the Western Australian Government. These Regional Corporations are responsible for representing the interests of Traditional Owners and supporting cultural, environmental, and economic outcomes across Noongar Country.
Yued Aboriginal Corporation Projects
Yued Aboriginal Corporation is in the early stages of engaging with the carbon industry, with a focus on exploring revegetation and blue carbon opportunities on Yued Country. In partnership with Nativ Carbon, Yued is working to identify potential projects that align with both cultural values and environmental benefits.
In January 2025, the Yued Ranger program was established, and rangers are currently undertaking training in Ecosystem and Conservation Management through.
Yued Aboriginal Corporation is committed to strengthening Traditional Owner governance, cultural authority, and land stewardship through partnerships and projects that support both Country and community.
