The latest Indigenous Carbon Industry Snapshot is now available!

Over the past twelve months, the spot price of Australian Carbon Credit Units has more than doubled, which has also rapidly increased the estimated $ value of the Indigenous carbon industry.

Combined with the results of generally excellent fire management efforts in 2020, it has been a great year for the Indigenous carbon industry.

The news comes as many groups have been busy fighting wildfires triggered by lightning on their country due to the arrival of the hot, stormy season, also known as Kunumeleng in Gunwinku language (West Arnhem Land) or Yuwala to Uunguu people (North Kimberley).

Congratulations to all our members for your hard work, it is great to see that is paying off!
